Creating the OIP Consulting brand
The process of designing a brand can be a difficult one at times, but on this occasion, it has been an incredibly smooth and enjoyable experience. The process of identifying features, benefits, core values and define purpose has been a truly collaborative one. Designing and developing the logo, creating the colour palette and refining the typography has been a continual flow of ideas back and forth until we achieved the right solution for Ben and OIP Consulting.
After completing a branding exercise together, we started the development of logo ideas through a process of sketches and refinement, then moving on to the Mac to refine the individual elements and create a unique, balanced and dynamic mark that captured the essence of what OIP Consulting offer.
Through the next stages, we developed a colour palette and typography through a series of emails and video calls. In order to see the full impact of these elements, we started the development of the brand new website. Using Adobe XD to flesh out the bones of the website and application of the brand we were able to establish a clean and clear site that reflected the nature of Ben’s work.
Taking the developed site plan and design from Adobe XD, we built the new website on the WordPress platform bringing in some inventive UX touches on the home page to give OIP a unique landing page. Final touches to the website include carefully selected photography from Unsplash.com, carefully crafted copywriting from Ben himself and all backed up with solid SEO work through the integrated Yoast WordPress plugin. Overall, a really satisfying solution for a specialist in his industry.
The whole experience of working with Ben to create his brand has been an extremely enjoyable one. Add in the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is a testament to Ben and his desire to create a unique brand and website that reflects the Objectivity, Integrity and Progressiveness that Ben brings to all his work.
Thank you again for the opportunity to collaborate with you on this project.
